Angela Toppin, the eldest daughter of Italian migrants, has lived in Mareeba her entire life, she is fiercely passionate about family, community and education.
A senior educator with 40+ years of experience, Angela is honest, hard-working and committed to transparency and ethical governance, she liaised and negotiated with and lobbied government departments and stakeholders, community groups, invested committees and parents for 25 years as school principal of the largest state high schools in the far north and has the experience necessary to support growth, financial security and prosperity. Angela prides herself on clear communication, consultation and collaboration.
A councillor for the past four years, Angela is heavily involved with community groups and organisations, volunteering with more that 15 local groups, she has the best interests of the shire at heart and will work hard with residents for the best outcomes for our region. Angela is running for Mayor of Mareeba Shire Council in the March Elections.

Although I am not a member I support Mareeba Soccer Club, Mareeba Cricket Club and Mareeba Netball Club with fundraising activities and trophies/presentations.
